Homemade moisturizers are fun to make, cost-effective, and can really make your skin glow! And best of all, they are all natural! Try these at home and add them to your skin care routine.
Homemade Avocado Moisturizer for very Dry and Sensitive Skin:
Step 1: Mix the following: 1 cup liquid avocado oil (you can also use almond oil if you prefer) with 1/2 cup beeswax.
Step 2: Put the mixture is a small saucepan and heat over low heat until the beeswax melts, then immediately remove from it from the heat, place contents in a bowl, and whisk until it cools.
Step 3: Once it’s cool, add to the mixture the contents of three capsules of Vitamins E and a few drops of pure essential oil for aroma (for example sandalwood or lavender)
Step 4: Pour the mixture into a sterile jar, and store in a dark cool place until you are ready to use it.
Homemade Rose Moisturizer for Normal Skin
Step 1: Mix together 1 cup of rose water and 1/2 cup of fresh rose petals
Step 2: In a small saucepan heat the mixture just until boiling.
Step 3: Remove from heat, let it cool, and strain out the petals
Step 4: Add glycerin and Aloe Vera juice to the mixture. Store this in a sterile jar in the refrigerator until you ready to use it.
Homemade Jojoba Moisturizer for Normal Skin
Step 1: Gather the following ingredients:
• 6 tablespoons Jojoba oil
• 1 tablespoon vitamin E oil
• 2 tablespoons grated beeswax
• 1 tablespoon pure Aloe Vera
• 2 tablespoons rose water
• 8 drops sandalwood essential oil, & 4 drops rose essential oil.
Step 2: Combine jojoba oil, vitamin E oil and beeswax in a small bowl.
Step 3: Place bowl in a shallow pan of boiling water and heat, stirring occasionally until the wax melts.
Step 4: Carefully remove the bowl and let cool to room temperature. It will thicken and become cloudy as it cools.
Step 5: In a blender or small food processor combine Aloe Vera and rose water. Add the cooled oil and blend on high until it becomes thick and cloudy.
Step 6: Add sandalwood and rose essential oils and blend mixture into colored glass jar.
Use a small amount on your face every evening instead of your usual moisturizer.
