Steps For How to Look Younger at 40

how to look younger at 40

Most women dread reaching the age of 40.  They feel that in addition to getting old, their appearance also reflects how old they have become.  However, as the popular adage says “life begins at 40,” women should rejoice that they have reached the landmark age of 40.  Most do not experience life at 40 unfortunately. Being forty years should be a celebration, not a source of sadness.  If you feel your looks don’t match how old you feel, there are different steps that you can take to match how you feel about your outside with how you feel on the inside.

It is not difficult to maintain a young looking appearance for a longer period of time.  There are definitely different ways of staying beautiful and looking younger as you get older.

Allot yourself a special “you” time.  Aging becomes more visible if you live a hurried lifestyle.  You can stretch your body to work more than it should, but be wary of repercussions.  The body can only give what it can give, not more than what it can give.

You have to give yourself the time it needs to rest and make up for lost time.  Give yourself a break by making sure you get enough rejuvenating sleep.  It sounds simple and you have probably heard this before, but it is really so true.  It really does improve your bodily functions a great deal.  Consider massaging your tired muscles and release stress through exercises in yoga.  These actions have many positive results like improvement of the skin’s structure, improvement of aura and vitality, and making a healthier you overall.

Exercise to improve circulation.  Good blood circulation can be maintained if you perform physical fitness activities.  Exercising benefits many vital organs and this supports the healthy structure of muscles.  The skin does not slack easily with strong muscles.  Exercising as a method to fight aging removes toxins and impurities in the system as well.  The brain is also able to produce serotonin which is responsible for making the skin radiant, and this function is increased when you exercise regularly.

Do facial exercises.  Exercise can be performed in both the body and the face.  Exercising your face can give you positive results from the top of the face  all the way to your neck.   Facial muscles are attached to the bone at one end and to another muscle to the skin.  That is when the muscles in the face contract and relax, you are able to show facial expressions.   There are many benefits that can be obtained when you do facial exercises. As facial exercises stretch the skin, blood circulation to the face is increased and more oxygen flows and more nutrients can reach the skin cells.  Damaged cells are removed, and that results in a complexion that is clear and healthyIf you are wondering how to look younger at 40, facial exercises are a great start.

Another benefit of facial exercise is that it reduces wrinkles and fine lines on your face.  Getting rid of wrinkles through face exercises can be easy and gives you results without the danger of side effects.  Tacked skin under the tissues is the culprit behind deep skin wrinkles.   Doing facial exercises will help you rub out facial wrinkles.

In addition to having zero risk with no dangerous side effects, facial exercises can be done by anyone and everyone.  They do not require a great amount of money to perform.

You do not have to search on ways on how to look younger at 40.  Doing the steps outlined will definitely help you reach your goal.  If you are interested, check out these samples of facial exercises.

Be happy always.  Being happy can slow down skin aging.  Laughing often prevents wrinkles on the brow and mouth areas.  You also increase the production of “feel-good” hormones that protect the skin from aging and reduces the harmful effects brought about by the sun’s dangerous rays.

  1. Hi admin, I’m also interested in this. (Take a look at the latest post on my site for details.) This was a really interesting read, you have definitely given me some food for thought!

    • sunscreen increases risk of skin cacner, the chemicals in it are not proven safe. It is better to get mild sun exposure and avoid burns and over tanning. I use powdered sun block with mica reflectors which I feel is safer, but I generally just keep exposure to a minimum. Sun exposure is extremely helpful, and everyone should get a little each week. Retinol and Vitamin K creme do help remove age spots, placenta creme is also very good. But avoiding excessive sun exposure is key.

      • Hey Monica – never heard that about sunscreen actually! But you’re right some sun exposure is definitely good for you. Thanks for your comment!
