What’s the first, and most important, step you take, when trying to lose weight and get your body into the best shape of your life?Exercise Your Eyes & Face

An obvious answer would be to tone and firm those flabby muscles and shed the fat with an effective exercise program.

The human body is a complex system of muscles, ligaments, tendons and other tissues which are woven over a skeletal frame. And like any mechanism, your body needs a certain amount of activity to stay fit. When your muscles are deprived of exercise, they gradually shrink and lose their firmness, which in turn, makes them sag and become ‘flabby’.

In order to regain your muscle tone you will need to work those muscles in addition to chiseling the flab away with a balanced nutritional program.

Just like the rest of your body, your face is made up of a number of muscle groups which work together to accomplish functions like talking, eating and even breathing. Of all the muscles in your body, your facial muscles – especially those around your eye – receive the least amount of exercise, simply because the only time we ever use them is while eating or speaking.

Over the years, gravity and aging further compound this problem of muscle disuse, encouraging your facial muscles to elongate and lose their natural shape.

Your skin, which is wrapped over the facial muscles around your eyes, elongates accordingly to accommodate this shift in your facial structure.

If you don’t pay attention to meeting your skin’s nutritional needs and enhancing the circulation of blood – and hence, nutrients – to your facial skin, it slowly loses its elasticity, which makes it sag even further.

Even worse, when your facial muscles contract further on account of atrophy, your skin can’t accommodate this contraction as it has already been stretched out of shape and lacks the elasticity it needs to shrink in accordance with your facial muscles.

To counter these ravages of time gravity, we’ve devised a unique face exercise program which targets three crucial goals:

1 Enhancing the circulation of nutrients to your skin and facial muscles around the eye:

Face exercises stimulate the circulation of nutrient-bearing blood to your face, to keep your facial skin and muscles nourished and youthful. This helps to maintain and enhance the elasticity of your skin and facial muscles, and protects them from the ravages of time and gravity. As your skin gradually regains its lost elasticity, your under-eye bags and wrinkles smooth out, and your dark circles gradually lighten up.

What’s more, once your skin begins to receive a constant supply of the right kind of nutrients, you’ll find that it actually begins to glow with health!

2Giving your facial muscles a thorough workout:

Once your facial muscles – especially the eye area – receive enough exercise, they stay toned, firm and youthful, preventing you from developing puffy eyes and under-eye bags.

3Improving elasticity of the delicate skin around the eyes:

While certain actions like frowning and squinting can cause wrinkles to develop prematurely in your under-eye area, the right kinds of movements can actually improve the elasticity of your skin, making it more taut, firm and youthful. As a result, you can kiss those crows feet, under-eye bags and prominent veins goodbye forever… without having to invest in expensive cosmetic surgery.

Please Note: Facial exercises are a double-ended sword – while the correct exercises can bring about amazing results when performed regularly, the wrong kinds of exercises can make your skin and muscles grow weaker a lot faster than they normally would.

How often must you exercise your eye muscles and skin?

When I first began talking about face exercises, a lot of people would remark, “I don’t have that kind of time, Miranda. I mean, I’m not a supermodel who spends every waking hour on making myself beautiful.”

If any of this sounds familiar, then have I got news for you!
